One freezing night, the Swallow couldn’t bear the freezing weather anymore. Sadly, the little bird passed away. The next morning, the ministers in the city noticed that the Happy Prince looked shabby without his gold and gems. They decided to burn the statue.
God saw what happened and told his Angel to bring him the two most precious things. The Angel brought the heart of the Happy Prince and the body of the little bird. God said, “In my Paradise, these two precious things, the little bird and the Happy Prince’s heart, shall sing and live forever.” And so, the Happy Prince and the Swallow found eternal happiness in God’s Paradise.
